In this post, CivicMic shares project background information and the Agenda for Hesperia's community meeting on May 7, 2020, at 6:30 PM. The meeting will cover improvements, maintenance, and services for the Hesperia Golf & Country Club. The City has proposed the formation of a Community Facilities District ("CFD") - a special tax added to the property taxes of properties surrounding the golf course that benefit the most from the improvements. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the CFD formation process and ascertain the improvements, maintenance, and services supported by the community.
Important: The formation of a Community Facilities District must be approved by the affected voters. The City can't form a Community Facilities District without voter approval.
