The Broadmoor Police Department is more than just a local law enforcement agency. We are a dedicated police force, focused solely on protecting the residents and visitors of Broadmoor. Whether you’re one of the 7,200 residents, a student heading to school, or a daily commuter passing through, Broadmoor PD is here to keep you safe and secure every day.
Who We Protect:
- Residents: Broadmoor’s 7,200 residents rely on the PD for 24/7 protection. Our officers are always on patrol, ensuring that neighborhoods remain peaceful, streets are safe, and public areas are secure.
- Schools: With over 1,194 students and staff attending Benjamin Franklin Intermediate, Garden Village Elementary, and Holy Angels School, we prioritize school safety. From traffic management to daily patrols, we work closely with educators to keep our children safe.
- Commuters & Visitors: Broadmoor is home to the busy Colma BART station, serving 2,555 daily commuters. In addition, local businesses draw visitors throughout the day, creating a vibrant mix of activity. Our team ensures the safety of everyone passing through by coordinating with transit authorities and maintaining a visible presence around high-traffic areas.
- On weekends and special occasions, Broadmoor sees an increase in its population due to large gatherings at local religious institutions. Holy Angels Church has an active congregation of 7,800 members, and the First Samoan Congregational Christian Church adds 280 congregants to the community. In addition, First Baptist Church of Daly City has over 100 congregants, Assemblies of God La Nueva Jerusalem has a congregation of approximately 250-300, and Chinese Myanmar Buddhist Association of America (Temple) has 80-100 Buddhist Followers (Sakyahhiksu).
