CivicMic works with Stanislaus County to facilitate community outreach and public engagement opportunities for the County's urban pockets and unincorporated communities.

On March 18, 2021, the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors committed $50 million toward these communities for infrastructure and the County is seeking to solicit comments and feedback from the residents, landowners, and stakeholders in these areas in order to determine how and where to allocate the available funding.

Infrastructure is the basic facilities, services, and installations that help a society function. Examples of infrastructure include roads, public institutions, phone lines, sewage treatment plants, and power generation.

Urban pockets are small independent areas that are located within a city’s sphere of influence but are not completely a part of the city and are under the authority of the County.

The County is looking to make investments to improve access to clean drinking water and support vital wastewater and storm drainage infrastructure. These improvements can look like curbs, gutters, sidewalks, sewer trunk lines, water lines, and more.
