Potential Rate Adjustments to Water and Sewer Services
GCSD provides treated water to approximately 3,500 customers in Big Oak Flat, Groveland, and Pine Mountain Lake through a system that includes three water treatment plants, five storage reservoirs, and 70 miles of distribution piping. Additionally, GCSD manages wastewater collection for about 1,500 residents in Groveland and Big Oak Flat, maintaining 16 sewage lift stations, 35 miles of gravity mains, seven miles of force mains, a recycled water treatment plant, two surface storage reservoirs, and 15 acres of spray fields.

Why is Groveland considering a change in water and sewer rates?
The Groveland Community Services District is conducting a Water and Sewer Rate Study to review current rates and develop a 5-year plan to ensure the costs of providing water and sewer services are covered fairly and sustainably. This study will help fund ongoing operations and system improvements while considering fairness between current and future customers.
