In this post, CivicMic shares the Kelseyville Fire CFD election results. The Kelseyville Fire Protection District (“District”) held a special election on December 21, 2021, that provided registered voters within the District boundaries an opportunity to vote in favor or against the formation of the proposed Fire CFD that would have funded certain enhanced Fire and EMS services. MK Elections mailed a total of ballots to 7342 voters qualified to vote in the special election. On December 22, 2021, they authenticated the ballots, and subsequently, the canvassing process began. The process was completed on January 4, 2022.
Kelseyville Fire CFD Election Results Update
The preliminary election results revealed that in total, 2338 ballots were submitted. 1084 of the voters voted in favor of the proposed CFD, 1240 voted against the formation, 3 blank ballots were submitted, and 11 ballots were rejected. On January 19, the Board of Directors confirmed the official results in Resolution 2022-12, a resolution declaring the results of a special election. These results have determined that the CFD did not get approved at this time.
