Low-Income Senior Exemption Application for 2024-2025

Measure A is a special tax levied on all taxable parcels within Marin County. There is a low-income senior parcel tax exemption available to homeowners who meet certain criteria. You must re-apply every year before June 1st.

Low-Income Senior Homeowner Exemption

There is no contiguous parcel exemption, as all taxable parcels are charged regardless of the size of the parcel.

To qualify for a low-income senior exemption for the $29 Measure A parcel tax for a single family residence, you must meet all of the following requirements:

  1. You will be 65 years of age or older by December 31, 2024; and
  2. You own and occupy your residence located in Marin County; and
  3. Your total annual household income was less than $104,100 in 2023.

The deadline to file a Low-Income Senior Exemption application for the 2024-25 tax year is June 1, 2024.
