Low-Income Senior Exemption for 2024-2025

The MWPA is funded by a parcel tax approved by voters in March 2020. There is a low-income senior parcel tax exemption available to homeowners who meet certain criteria. You must re-apply every year before June 30th.

Low-Income Senior Homeowner Exemption

The Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority (MWPA) was created to implement a comprehensive wildfire prevention and emergency preparedness program for Marin County. MWPA is funded by a parcel tax approved by voters in March 2020.

There is a low-income senior parcel tax exemption available to homeowners who meet certain criteria. You must re-apply every year before June 30th. 

To Apply

Applications are available annually from February - June.

Applicants may call NBS at any time to request an application by mail or email for the upcoming tax year. Applications will be sent once the application period opens. Those wishing to receive annual notifications when the application period opens, use this email signup form.
