CivicMic works with the Ocean Avenue Association to facilitate community outreach and public engagement opportunities for the renewal and extension of the Ocean Avenue Community Benefit District ("District") that funds improvements, operations, maintenance, and activities within the District.

Ocean Avenue CBD Survey

The District is approaching the renewal period and the Ocean Avenue Association is considering increasing the services provided and expanding the boundaries of the District. In order to create renewal documents that reflect the services desired by stakeholders, CivicMic and the Ocean Avenue Association need your feedback. Survey will be posted soon.

Renewal documents (those listed above) submitted to the Office of Economic & Workforce Development (OEWD) for review by OEWD and the City Attorney


Mail petitions to property owners within the boundaries of the new Ocean Avenue Community Benefit District.

The Resolution of Intention is presented at the Board of Supervisors by District Seven Supervisor Myrna Melgar.

Notice of Public Hearing and Ballots

Mail Notice and Assessment Ballot to property owners subject to the new proposed Ocean Avenue Community Benefit District (no less than 45 days prior to the Public Hearing and tabulation of ballots).

Public Hearing and Ballot Tabulation

The Board of Supervisors conducts the public hearing and ballot tabulation; The Board considers the Resolution of Formation and Confirms the Assessments (at least 45 days after the mailing of the assessment ballots).
