ReNew Oxnard Update

ReNew Oxnard Update

We appreciate all the volunteers that have been working diligently to engage fellow community members in the effort to improve the landscaping and revitalize the neighborhood. In this post, CivicMic provides all involved Oxnard communities with a ReNew Oxnard update.

ReNew Oxnard Update

Currently, $5.6 million in Measure E funds have been approved by City Council for certain services and maintenance.

Beginning on July 1, 2021, the City started relying on these funds for things like:

  • Restoring tree pruning maintenance and other tree maintenance
  • Restoring weekly mowing and other park maintenance
  • Restoring median landscape maintenance

Measure E funds will be the primary funding mechanism used for this type of maintenance.

  1. Measure E should not be the only funding mechanism used for maintenance. The city needs to allocate more funding from the general fund for maintenance. It needs to be a high priority.
