Update on Vista Assessment Districts Status
Thank you to all residents who attended the community meetings on March 10 and March 18. These meetings provided information on potential funding changes, preliminary rates, and how landscaping, street lighting, and street maintenance services impact the community. Your participation and input are greatly appreciated.

Review the Engineer’s Reports for Vista Landscape and Lighting and Street Maintenance Districts
At the March 24 City Council meeting, the Council approved resolutions initiating proceedings to form two new citywide assessment districts:
- Vista Citywide Street Maintenance Assessment District No. 2025-1
- Vista Citywide Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance Assessment District No. 2025-2
The Council also preliminarily approved the Engineer’s Reports and scheduled a Public Hearing for May 13, 2025. The assessment ballot proceeding will begin, giving property owners the opportunity to vote on the proposed assessments.
