Thank you for joining us at our recent workshop on the potential Business Improvement District (BID) for Wrigley. We’d like to share a brief recap of our discussions and outline the next steps as we continue to explore this opportunity together.
Workshop Highlights
- Clean Streets & Enhanced Security:
Attendees emphasized the importance of maintaining clean sidewalks, improved lighting, and potential security measures—initiatives that many believe could enhance the neighborhood’s appeal. - Supporting Local Business:
Business owners and residents shared ideas on boosting local commerce through coordinated marketing, community events, and other collaborative efforts that underscore Wrigley’s unique character. - Informational Outreach:
Representatives from the City of Long Beach explained the fundamentals of a BID. It’s important to note that our current outreach is solely for informational purposes; no decisions or commitments have been made at this stage. - Community Input:
We heard valuable feedback from several local business owners, who expressed enthusiasm for further discussion!
Next Steps
- Expanded Outreach:
We’re exploring additional ways to engage, such as hosting an informational booth at a local café and organizing brief, focused Zoom sessions or lunchtime chats that work around busy schedules. - Review All Meeting Materials:
If you’d like to revisit the workshop details or catch up on what you missed, please access all meeting materials below. - Stay Connected:
We encourage you to continue the conversation. Whether you have suggestions for further engagement or would like to host a discussion at your place of business, please contact us. Your feedback is crucial as we consider whether a BID is a good fit for Wrigley.

Mejorando los Negocios de Wrigley: Posible Distrito de Mejoramiento Comercial

This picture of WRIGLEY says it all. The center divider looks horrible with weeds. This is the problem, Wrigley area is forgotten when it comes
to trash, cleanliness of the sidewalks median up keep. We have to power wash our sidewalk, because it it filthy, street sweeping does a non existent job. Trash cans are no where in sight. The planters are full of debris and weeds. Go downtown different story. We pay a lot for our business license, yet our area is neglected.
